Managed IT support
A named engineer, a 30-minute response target and proactive monitoring for every workstation, server and network device you run.

Lios Technology Group is an independent IT consultancy in downtown Austin. We look after the networks, cloud tenants and line-of-business systems that small and mid-sized American companies depend on — with fixed monthly pricing, named engineers and no long lock-in contracts.
Daniel Johnson founded Lios Technology Group in 2016 after fifteen years inside corporate IT departments, because too many growing companies were paying enterprise prices for helpdesk tickets that nobody owned. Today we are a team of eleven engineers, analysts and project managers working from 205 West 9th Street in downtown Austin, and every client keeps the same lead engineer from day one.
We are deliberately independent. We do not resell hardware for commission, and we will tell you when the cheaper option is the right one. Roughly two thirds of our new work still arrives through referrals from clients we started with years ago.
Most clients start with one engagement and grow into a managed agreement. Everything below can be bought on its own — you are never required to bundle.
A named engineer, a 30-minute response target and proactive monitoring for every workstation, server and network device you run.
Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid moves planned around your working week, with rollback points at every stage.
Multi-factor rollout, endpoint hardening, phishing simulations and an incident response runbook your team can actually follow.
We connect the systems you already pay for and turn them into dashboards leadership reads on Monday morning.
Internal tools, portals and integrations built when off-the-shelf software stops fitting the way you work.
Quarterly roadmaps, budget planning and vendor negotiation from someone who has no product to sell you.
Every managed client receives a monthly service report: tickets opened and closed, first-response times, patch coverage, backup verification results and any risks we think deserve budget next quarter. If we miss our response target, it appears in that report before you have to ask.
You know who is picking up the ticket, and they know your environment.
No jargon dashboards. One page a month that a non-technical owner can read.
Passwords, diagrams and runbooks stay in your vault, not ours.
Thirty days written notice ends any managed agreement, at any time.
Client names are withheld where confidentiality agreements apply. Figures are taken from the closing report of each engagement.
A regional accounting firm running an ageing on-premise mail server migrated over two weekends. Mailboxes, shared calendars and 1.8 TB of files moved with no working hours lost.
Result: 41% lower annual infrastructure spend, verified backups on all mailboxes.
Production data trapped in three spreadsheets and an ERP export became a single Power BI model refreshed every hour, with alerts when scrap rates cross threshold.
Result: weekly reporting cycle cut from 6 hours of manual work to 15 minutes.
A 34-person billing practice needed multi-factor authentication, encrypted laptops and a written incident response plan before renewing cyber insurance.
Result: passed insurer questionnaire on first submission; MFA coverage at 100%.
“We had been through two providers in four years. Lios turned up, documented everything we owned in the first fortnight and we have not had an unplanned outage since.”
“What I appreciate is the honesty. They talked us out of a server purchase we had already budgeted for and saved us about eleven thousand dollars.”
“The monthly report is one page and I actually read it. Our previous provider sent forty pages nobody opened.”
